lol, I was rolling! At first I was like ok, he is going to sob a bit. But then he went on and on and on, like he was having a nervous breakdown or something. Honestly, if this goofball is the best the republicans can put up as speaker for the House, it lessens the pain somewhat!

21. BS. If he really worked his way through miserable, menial jobs, he'd be more in touch.
He'd know what real "workers" go through and the challenges they face. Instead, he wants to pull the rug out from underneath them, leave them on their own to fend for themselves while their meager payroll checks get taxed to fund the millionaire's tax cuts. He's not just a douche...he's a goddamn fucking douche.

36. something was moving alright....
right up his esophagus into his mouth..a little whiskey URP that he had to swallow.
I spent years bartending and I saw many a maudlin, slobbering drunk behave this same way at closing time.
If I didn't detest him so much, I would almost feel sorry and embarrassed for him...almost.
Hey RePukes...are you proud of your new speaker?

18. I thought it was a damn shame and an excellent symbol of what politics has become that this man
stood up there as sloppy drunk as he was. It wasn't the crying that bothered me; it was the fact that he thought it was OK to totally lose it, knowing he would have to speak to the American people drunk off his ass and expect us to think that was OK. Fuck him.

He has a reputation for heading out to hit the bars rather than spending long hours in the office.

34. I don't believe this! This must go viral.
I've booked marked it and am sending it to everyone on my contact list. This should be played over and over again. This could so be used against him in the future to make a fool of him from his own lack of self control.

Couldn't he wait until after he made the speech? I'm stunned. I heard the rumours that he wasn't in the office a lot and like to hit the bars but, I thought networking ;) But, on this night - absolutely no self control. If the Dems don't use this when gravitas is an element of whatever the hell he's trying to do it would be a waste.

Thanks for posting the youtube link.

31. Honestly
What a wuss is what I posted on my FB update last night. He didn't get the memo that "boys, don't cryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy". And he's going to be my comic relief the next two years.

I did not grow up with and as an adult I don't surround myself with wimpy crybaby men. Maybe it's holding onto gender bias - but I don't care.

I don't care.

My Wednesday morning thought? He can be 'broken'. Any male that cries and weeps like that? He's WEAK. Just WEAK.

How the hell is a man's man like Anthony Wiener or Barney Frank, going to even look at this guy with the even the tiniest amount of respect.

Ahd he's been a cry baby before. This wasn't because he 'won' - it's because he's weak. It was just so over the top and well: Weak.

49. Wow
I thought he was clearly drunk, but the whole "men don't cry" meme can go away from society for all I care. I'm a male. 44 years old and I cry and I'm not weak. Lots of things move me (and not alcohol in Boehner's case) to tears: Good literature and my children doing well what makes them happy to name a couple. But I guess I'm just weak.
