What's With Ed Schultz Talking About Repugs Pushing Impeachment Of Obama.....
Why even give this any credence? Him talking about it - in my opinion - gives it legs.

1. No point hiding from the truth. It's coming - we need to be ready...
The other side won't take it off the table.

19. It's the House that votes on articles of impeachment...the Senate has a trial on the charges...
it originates in the house and essentially the Senate can't do anything except hold the trial if the house acts.

32. I know that.
We no longer control the house. Between the repugs and the blue dogs...
The Senate is where it stops. We need our own Treason trials to put an end to this foolishness. Rush, beck, etc.

Issa can't wait to start the investigations. Ed's just stating the obvious.

14. Under What Grounds Could They Even Suggest Impeaching Obama?.....
There is nothing of substance there to impeach Obama on. I'm sure that they'll make things up - but to talk about the prospect - just gives them the moxie to go ahead and do it.

Instead - if Ed or anyone else wants to talk about impeachment - it should be spoken about how silly and partisan the Repugs will look if they even bring of the prospect of impeachment. It should be spoken about in a way that dissuades Repugs from even thinking about trying to do.

trust me, quite a few of the numnuts will introduce articles of impeachment pretty damn soon...totally bogus articles, but they're gonna do it.

running. They also think that's an impeachable offense.

while people are losing their homes and unemployed will make the GOP ripe for picking 2012. The GOP have two choices, they can compromise and get things done to move this country forward, and lose their base. Or they can stoop to that level, have their witch hunt.

The mantle is on them to produce. They saddled up this pig, now they have to ride it, just how?

Investigations and ignoring the pain and plight of the people, or compromise and lose their base. KARMA Baybee

It's not so much that he wants to see impeachments and hearings into UnAmericanism as he wants to demonstrate to his followers that all these wild ass assertions by the crazy candidates were just wild ass assertions.

5. It will probably happen. The POTUS will soon found out why
it was an unwise decision to give the Bush/Cheney crime family a free pass. If the newly ballsed up Republicans in the House hear Obama has lint in his navel, they'll demand hearings. We'll be looking back on the Clinton/Lewinsky years as the good old days.

6. not really
They have said as much and now it is just a matter of if they decide to do it. I wouldn't be surprised if they do but then they might decide they have already shown the "liberal" Obama who rules this nation. Don't think they will try if Obama fights them too much.

21. And These Represent The Potential To Impeach Obama? ......
Come on now!!! There is no there - there. And putting this out there to suggest that there is - just gives the Repugs the foolish guts to go ahead and go through with this.

Instead we should be putting out there all sorts of reasons that cause the Repugs to think twice about this - starting with the fact that the American people will see right through this as a partisan stunt. It will backfire on the Repugs and just boost the popularity of Obama in the eyes of the people.

Maybe this is why Shultz is talking about this. Could he be luring them into a trap to shoot themselves in the foot.

18. My point is that he's churning the waters because that's all he does
Harping about impeachment is just designed to rile people who already are pissed off and demoralized; this is exactly the kind of shit Jon Stewart was rallying against.

Right now there are no serious signs of impeachment, just teabagger fantasy. When there are, then we can all get emotionally worked up over it.

31. That is total bullshit
The right wing radiots are liars. Ed may be loud but he is telling the truth.

Your rhetoric and that of John Stewart saying both sides are guilty reminds me of a quote:

Those who will not choose sides sit on tall fences, look down their noses and are above it all

Jon Stewart is sitting on a really tall fence because he's acting all high and mighty.

9. Meh, let him. Let their Teabagger faction get all hot and bothered,
then force Boehner and Co. closer to that cliff.

As much as they may actually want to, and as craven as they are, a few of the more sane Rs have to know that as freaked out as people are about jobs and the economy, it well might be political suicide this time around to waste everyone's time on impeachment proceedings.

30. I agree CakeGrrl. If the topic can be kept in the news, the baggers will eventually notice
that their rethug HoR is not delivering. They will shift their anger toward them, hopefully.

If it fades from air and memory, it will disappear as something that actually happened like the Rand Paul curbstomp.

Our inability to have any input into the media is the main thing killing the Democratic Party.

Fire up those committees and congressional investigations. We want them to slap Obama in the face for his attempts at bipartisanship. We want them to be unreasonable.

Even the GOP isn't that dumb. They would just embarrass themselves like they did with Clinton.

Yes, they will investigate up a storm.

I think they will want to embarrass Obama (and weaken him) by picking off members of his team.

Look for Holder to be the first coming out of the NBP voter intimidation incident.

34. Ed Schultz is a registered Republican.
He only switched to "progressive" talk because it was easier to get ahead in a smaller field, and he could tell that the political winds were shifting towards the Progressives. Now that it looks like they might shift back the real Ed shows through.

Is it a hush-hush "eyes only" secret that Repukes love grabbing power away from Clinton Republican appeasers? NO.
So discuss the elephant in the living room.
