Poll question: Should Tim Kaine be FIRED as Democratic Party chair?
Seriously, when Howard Dean was in that position, he made a lot of races competitive that otherwise wouldn't have been, and primarily by making voters and party activists feel like they were heard and involved in the process, as opposed to the DLC method or courting corporate donors and talking down to the party base (essentially aping how the GOP does things).

Should we tell Obama it's time to take out the rest of the DLC garbage, starting symbolically with someone who could have used his job to get a very different outcome yesterday?

I saw someone defending him here last night but just one person. Kaine is a flop. Useless.

so there's really no risk involved in making a change.

10. Dean or Grayson Would Be Far Better
We need someone more grassroots oriented and vision to fight rigorously for democratic principles and not DLC goals and the DINOs

which is why he would be a good idea.

We do not need him heading the DNC, though I like him...

20. DINO's are DINO's for one of two reasons: 1) they can't win as Republicans
2) like Papa Bush they lack the stomach or acting ability to suck up to religious nuts and racist redneck ignoramuses.

23. Yes ! k*r
He didn't deliver as governor of Virginia and failed to nix a truly awful candidate for governor
who was assured to lose. By the 2009 statewide election, the 1.95 million Obama 2008 voters had
shrunk to 0.8 mil for the Democratic candidate. That's pathetic. That's his legacy.

Who had the bright idea of putting him in there in the first place?

I really don't think he is the problem or even on the list of the top 10 problems. But his style doesn't work for that job.

29. If you believe that Democrats lost so many seats
because of the candidates or their campaign, then Kaine should absolutely be fired.

If you think the Dems lost so many seats because of other factors (the economy, jobs, Chamber of Commerce money, etc...) then it's not as easy to tell if he did a good job or not.

While Kaine could have done a better job, it's hard for me to lay all the losses at his feet.
