Worst moment of Bush's presidency? Kanye

Bush’s controversial choice for worst presidential memory

Skipping over two wars and a domestic humanitarian disaster, George W. Bush singled out an offhand insult as “the worst moment” of his presidency.

In an interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer ahead of the release of his memoir, Decision Points, Bush called out rapper Kanye West and his infamous live-TV takedown of the then president: “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”

According to a transcript obtained by Entertainment Weekly, Lauer read Bush the relevant passage from his own book.

“I faced a lot of criticism as president. I didn’t like hearing people claim that I lied about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction or cut taxes to benefit the rich. But the suggestion that I was a racist because of the response to Katrina represented an all-time low.”

Lauer pressed Bush on the claim, asking him to confirm that he’d told his wife, Laura, that West’s jibe was the “worst moment of your presidency.”

“Yes,” Bush replies.

Later, Lauer says, “You’re not saying that watching the misery in Louisiana was the worst moment in your presidency. You’re saying it was when someone insulted you because of that.”

“No, and I also make it clear that the misery in Louisiana affected me deeply as well. There’s a lot of tough moments in the book. And it was a disgusting moment, pure and simple.

1. Human vacuum
Unreal. He sucks to the power of 40.
A mile high pile of dead humans and he is worried about his sick ego.
Shame.

GREAT TUNE. And you can download (legally) for free. One of my favorite tunes of the fall.

"Let's have a toast for the d*****bags
Let's have a toast for the a**holes
Let's have a toast for the scumbags
Everyone of them that I know
Let's have a toast for the jerkoffs
Thata never take work off
Baby I gotta plan
Runaway as fast as you can"

The song is about himself.

Oh, and he thinks the Taylor Swift thing was worse.

I thought those had gone extinct.

4. Sorry Shrubbie
But if you don't want black people saying you don't care about them, you kinda have to ACT LIKE you do.

Doesn't surprise me this logic escapes the Chimpy one, though...

8. Wow. Kanye is worse than 9-11.
I knew he was a jackass, as President Obama once pointed out. But, I didn't know he was THAT bad.

9. BREAKING!! Kanye responds:
http://pitchfork.com/news/40598-kanye-extends-olive-branch-to-george-w-bush/

"Well I definitely can understand the way he feels-- to be accused of being a racist in any way. Because the same thing happened to me, you know, where I got accused of being racist. And with both situations, it was basically a lack of compassion that America saw in that situation. With him it was a lack of compassion, with him not rushing-- you know, him taking the time time to rush down to New Orleans. With me, it was a lack of compassion of cutting someone off in their moment. But nonetheless I think we're all quick to pull the race card in America. And now, I'm more open. And the poetic justice that I feel, to have went through the same thing that he went, and now I really more connect with him on a humanitarian level… because the next morning, when he felt that, I felt the same thing."

Actually, I don't think interrupting an award speech is as bad as letting a city drown, but that's just me. Kanye has been trying to rebuild his career and is trying not to get himself into trouble lately.

(Breaking, being tongue in cheek of course)
