"I asked him if he would... in this lame duck session fight to stop the death tax from being reinstated this Jan1."
-Christine O'Donnell in her victorious concession speech to her flock

Maybe the Senator-Elect will conduct a filibuster or two for you in the lame duck session which will be hard to do since he does not get sworn into office until the new year.

These people scare the living shit out of me!

1. It is not a death tax.
It is fixing unearned wealth distribution.

Consolidations of wealth destroy society. Estate Tax is one way to lesson that impact. And arguing against it is only defending a system of wealth distribution that has been shown to not have a moral component. And that system is the moneyed private sector.

2. Doesn't the death tax only impact people of considerable
wealth? If so, seems strange that would be her big request given her
so called concern for the "real" people of Delaware.

3. $3.5 million for an individual, $7 million for a couple
The estate tax goes into effect for amounts ABOVE those figures.

6. Not in 2011
In 2011 the rates revert back to their 2000 levels -- $1 million and $2 million, respectively.

4. What a dumbass.
I don't think she realizes she's lost.

5. I think this one gets seated immediately.
While the other new senators aren't sworn in until January, if I recall correctly this was a special election to fill Biden's term so whomever was elected will be seated during the lame duck session.
