We need a leader to emerge that doesn't think the hard right ideology

of today's Republican party has legitimate points and has the possibility of improving the lives of everyday Americans and should compromise with them.

may be the ones to "save" the economy and this country. The far right/right-wing has been calling the shots since 1980 and they've surrendered to that faction which is a mere minority.

My best are right now there are many Congresscritters who are looking at the bills...the thousands and millions just spent on keeping their jobs and now have to do it all over again. If anything, thanks to Citizen United the price tag for 2012 is sure to rise even higher. They won't deal with the voters for another two years but the money needs to be banked now. With this kind of system principals go out the window in a hurry. And for those who want to primary in 2012, that'll mean raising even more money. Our endless campaign industry means politicians are fundraisers first, legislators when time permits.

A missing factor in the past elections were the Netroots. For whatever reasons, the effort wasn't there this year like it was in '06 and '08. It helped to give Progressives and Liberals a bit of a voice in what's going on and it needs to be re-energized. What most politicians in the beltway hear are the pundits and corporate media...and as long as they harp about "bipartisanship", (translation: roll over to the GOTB) that's all these people will hear. A more active, organized and vocal netroots can break through that mess.

the only thing that will save our government is term limits. We have to clear the deadwood out of congress every five or six years. And we have to put a limit on spending in the campaigns. OF course the congress will never vote to limit terms, that would just undercut them. And the false saying, term limits, well just vote them out. How in the hell can you do that when you have all that money for ads telling lie after lie after lie and fox and people like Rush. The worst thing to happen to this country was the MEDIA. And no sensible control on the media. It was always the premise that if you lied you could be sued or stopped. It doesn't work today. fox constantly and consistently lie lie lie 24/7 and the FCC has done absolutely positively nothing. Oh no, I forgot, agree with the right like everything else that has been done by this administration. Remember the DOJ letting Rove and the firing of the attorneys off the hook. That was because all the republicans were not moved out of top and controlling government jobs.
