If you are writing to MSNBC Re: Olbermann's suspension
This is appears to be a travesty on its face, selective application of policy. And we should be upset about it and should express our opinion and desire for them to treat Keith fairly. Also that if he is not re-instated they will lose our viewership. With that in mind...

it is usually best to keep the tone of the letter down to a low roar, leave out profanity, etc. I realize that some will disagree, but I wanted to throw this advice out there.

That is all.

1. It's the M.O. in this house. No snark but, a little bite.
I can't help myself but, the husband leaves out the bite.

2. Already done.
And I agree. Reasonable, calm letters work wonders. The others are discarded or filed.

4. Done & in a civil way. I'd prefer that they read it, not dismiss it.

5. I agree and have done so. Although I find it ironic that the very same
issue (selective application of policy) was not vilified in the Juan Williams firing by NPR. Sometimes principles matter and here is a perfect example of why.

6. I will be completely civil in my tone...
... as I inform them that I'm going to contact all of their sponsors to let them know how I feel.

7. I emailed, kept it at indignant. But I figured no one would even open
the email, so just put "bring back Keith Olbermann" in the subject line so they would know why I was writing.

8. Done
I simply pointed out that they have every right to do as they choose. However, I also have a right not to watch any of their networks and will not do so (NBC, MSNBC, Bravo, Sci Fi, etc)....

They made a business decision and I did as well..... Game Over.
