Al is a freshman, won't have to face re-election for another four years, can't be called part of the "old politics".

He's not only got the humor, he's got the heart and the rage.

What should happen next with Al?

1. A choice commiiee chair or co-chair?
Communications, maybe? He knows how the RW politipress works just as well as anybody and how the 'net works, too.

2. I agree! I'll leave it up to others here who know more than I to find him his
new job. But I DO think he could contribute so much more in whatever capacity he's given.

3. I don't know, but I hope he gets a more "up front and center" role in the party.
I like the guy a lot.

As a published author, Tv personality and pundit, franken could do more than Harry ever could.

5. Senate Majority Leader
Speaker of the House is reserved to the House of Representatives, both Harry and Al are senators.

6. Franken is the 97th most senior senator
There is only 1 dem less senior than him right now. The least senior dem with a chairmanship is Blanche and she's the 49th most senior. He's got quite a way to go. But he doesn't need a chairmanship to be effective. He's a hit with the left and I'm sure the party will use him that way.
