1. Because GE/Comcast cares about a few, whiny pissants?
We don't matter to the Corporate Lords. It's a bitter pill to swallow, but we'll get along much better once we learn our place in their world...

...and FIGHT AGAINST THEM. It's only a class war if we start fighting back.

I can't think of a single program I watch on MSNBC.

have moved on to the next outrage de jour.

14. And if he is, it will be because of 'all this froth and bubble'
Edited on Sat Nov-06-10 03:38 AM by sabrina 1
I don't consider truthful media to be the 'outrage of the day'

I consider what we had until very recently, outrageous. And if we had had this kind of 'froth and bubble' when the media was doing the bidding of the Bush war criminals, we would not ever have been in Iraq and all those innocent children and their families, would be still be alive, in their own country, doing what human beings do. So would 5,000 U.S. troops not to mention the maimed and the suicides and the mentally destroyed, here and there.

Sorry you don't think it's important to fight against a return to the dark days of the totally rightwing media all beating the war drums with Fox leading the way. There's another they can't wait to start, but it is getting harder for them since there have been some voices in the media countering the lies.

If only we had a few more Keiths, and Rachels and Ed Schultzes back then. I do remember on DU many people wishing for such people in the media then, but there were none, they all got 'suspended' permanently.

They are about to purge progressive voices once again. I guess they thought, after Jon Stewart's false equivalency re Fox, Keith would be easy to start with. They will find reasons for Rachel and the others later. Just as they did for Ashley Banfield and others.

Either that, or Rachel will have to be very careful about what she says, now that Republicans are back. But they didn't expect the reaction they are getting. When they disappeared Ashley Banfield and Donohue, and Aaron Brown et al, there was no 'froth and bubble' and they never came back. IF you are right and Keith comes back, it will be because of this 'froth and bubble' you are so dismissive of.

At least you took the trouble to comment on the 'outrage du jour' though.

5. No can do . . .
haven't watched television news in over 15 years, so threatening to continue what I won't be doing whether Olbermann is on air or not just won't have much impact.

15. Well, I called Griffin's office today, got through too before
they directed calls to their answering machine. I let them know that we will not be watching MSNBC until Keith is restored. Of course he may not want to return. He's quit before. But it should be his choice. I told them we are all sick of censorship, especially of progressive voices. I'm sure they got a lot of calls and emails, faxes and letters. No need for a ratings box, they know the size of their audience. They will see it shrink.

11. Email them and tell them you are not watching ANY
of their NBC Universal Channels.

NBC, Bravo, Sci Fi, MSNBC, etc.

My TV is not hooked to a ratings box, but my email has been sent.

They made a decision and so did I. It's simple business on both parts.

20. Boycotting may give them another excuse-- viewership down--
to cut back on liberal programming and "Lean Forward" into fact-free foxy right wing "news."
