So FOX News gets more views than other news programs but Huffington Post beats Drudge Report

getting over DOUBLE the hits. This shows me that Democrats get most of their info on-line and Republicans still watch TV.

Can anyone translates these numbers for me? Huffington Post's reach yesterday was .94000 and Drudges reach yesterday was .43000

What is that in millions of hits?

Not saying Huffington Post is awesome but it is more left than right. My point is only addressing the false idea that just because FOX gets ore viewers than other news programs that more people are conservative. I think these numbers prove that we just get our info from the net and not TV.

3. Sure, but there is no doubt it is more left than right. My point is not about how great HP is

but that it is BS to say most people are conservative based on FOX News's ratings. I think this proves that.

I dont have cable, so I never watch MSNBC and Comedy Central on TV, but I generally watch Rachel Maddow, John Stewart, and Stephen Colbert on line the next day. There are more and more people dropping cable. These ratings will soon be very obsolete if they do not include on-line viewings.

I think that's why CNN, for example, has shifted to the right: they're after those people who stare at the TV and their numbers are greater on the right.

Huffington Post has been partnering with AOL almost from its inception. TMZ is an AOL entity. In other words, one of the main reasons Huffington Post has such high traffic is because it is default-embedded on millions of news/homepage portals.

I'm not saying that makes Drudge better. I'm just saying that Huffington Post was never an independent website. It has always been funded and marketed by the mainstream media.

Not that it has anything to do with what business they're partnered with - Drudge under no circumstances should be taken seriously with anything he says. Yeah he "kind of" speculated that Clinton was having an affair - and that was no grounds for impeachment whatsoever. But it's all bullshit is what I'm getting at.

That network is being played in banks, VA's, and other businesses constantly. No matter the hours, the VA always has Faux news playing in their waiting rooms. Very few say anything to get the channel changed.

So you have ten news organizations who are are closer to "Real" news and one channel who's whole niche is far right viewers. If there were 50% "Real News" vs 50% catering to Republicans than the "Real News" programs would have much higher ratings. FOX just doesn't have any competition for the insane viewers.

and better guest writers. plus the entertainment section is awesome!

the city section is nice..interesting columnists in the chicago section
