The media keeps asking "Are Democrats out of touch with voters?"

But how many times did they ask that question when an overwhelming majority supported a public option? Yes, a few Democrats in Congress opposed the public option, mostly Blue Dogs, but 100% of Republicans in the Senate were against it. So who was more out of touch with voters in that instance?

And why doesn't the media wonder if sometimes voters are out of touch with reality, as revealed by the fact that most think President Obama has raised our taxes, when in fact he has lowered them?
