No Morning Joe in the morning. I turn it on out of habit, the channel
is usually left there the night before. Tomorrow I will tune into local and just live with it..Hope everyone does the same. When Joey, who I hear has the juice with Capus and Griffin, starts to see his numbers plummet, he may realize how extremely popular Keith is. That must really annoy him...LOL. If Joe was suspended (bwahahahaha)I doubt there would be much of an outcry. Just a reminder.

10. Sometimes I purposely go to TCM and watch an old B&W. It's
very calming. 1930 and '40 films (especially the detective shows) are great.

3. I'm going to watch my local and then at 7:00 it goes to natl. I cannot
stand Matt Lauer so will have to channel surf. Local may give me enough news until I get to DU or maybe CNN will be tolerable.

5. First, I'm going swimming at the local rec center
When I get home I'm going to clean my house for a change and then I'm going to start sewing some curtains. No tv where I can sew. But I can listen to the radio and will probably catch Hartmann who airs tape delayed or maybe NPR.

I'll sew until it's time to make supper (homemade Chinese tomorrow night) and then it'll be time for Rachel. I'm curious about what might happen tomorrow and will decide if I'll watch Rachel and Lawrence after I read some DU. If not, I'll read a book in the evening for a change. There's always a stack!

How about you?

23. Assorted veggies, grilled chicken pieces and brown rice
C'mon down!

A while back my aunt and I made a mini shopping trip to the Asian market down in Alameda Square (where the old Denver County Social Services building used to be). That market is big, bright and not too pricey. So I prepared a whole bunch of veggies and froze them in bags. Now I have magic meals on the spot.

P.S. I heard we might have snow showers by Thursday.

21. Good heavens, xultar, why don't you read your political
Edited on Sun Nov-07-10 07:55 PM by jkshaw
news -- American Prospect, Mother Jones, Liberal Opinion Week, The Nation, The Progressive, The New Yorker. These are online as well. For other news, National Geographic, Wired, The American Gardener, Audubon Magazine, and many others, also on line.

If nothing suits you could always read mysteries from the library. But I'm biased -- except for Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, and now Lawrence O'Donnell, I really despise TV. Even with those three mentioned, I've got to take a vacation from them -- the noise of the TV, the interminable commercials, even on mute, tend to give me a headache. I often skip the TV and watch their segments online.

15. Well, here's what Ed Schultz says...
He asks people to record his show if they can't catch it when it's live because he gets credit for a "watch". So it does sound like the cable provider can tell what's playing. But I've never seen anything in provider literature about it.

29. I wish I knew what this was about other than
the assumption that KO provides a false lead to Morning Joe's ratings, and if that is all there is to it I now feel silly for thinking there was more.

I turn to MSNBC over whatever infomercial is playing on the channel I had it on the prior night which usually starts me with first look or whatever the show(s) before Joe are then I watch MJ for a little while before heading off to work. I actually find it interesting in a sort of 'fox lite' way without all the propaganda, but what do I know I've never watched Fox news and never will.
