MSNBC Folds!! Keith Olbermann back on Tuesday!
Sun Nov 07, 2010 at 06:09:47 PM PST

I know this isn't much of a diary, but I'm doing a happy dance over here, and just wanted to share!

STATEMENT REGARDING KEITH OLBERMANN - SUNDAY, NOV. 7

From Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC:

After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night's program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night.

3. BREAKING NEWS: Griffin still a prick
I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night's program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy.

When dealing with workplace infractions, the proper term is "penalty." Using "punishment" instead reeks of a stern father disciplining a disobedient little kid. I suspect that's the way Griffin sees their roles. Maybe he'll send Keith to bed without supper, too!

5. That's what I thought too!
Yep. It's not over. We're dealing with a major personality flaw in this Griffin character. He doesn't know how to manage people under him. We have to clamor hard for this griffin guy's removal otherwise it's going to end bad for Keith. I think we're dealing with a Michael Scott from The Office type deal here. He's got to go.

6. I won't watch until Keith returns. They need to see exactly
who watches their programming, and it is not the RWers.

7. This is great news...
Now I just hope it doesn't put a "chilling effect" on his, Rachel's, Ed's or Lawrence's schticks. :scared:
