Did Joe Scarborough Do the EXACT SAME THING Keith did?
I thought I had heard he did the same thing Keith did, but was not suspended. Is this true?

2. It's my understanding that his corporate masters pre-approved his donations.
KO failed to get pre-approval from his corporate masters, hence, he was given a two-day timeout.

4. Yes so far as donating. However, according to reports Joe
followed the rule and went to the proper person before
he actually made the contributions.

Some reports say Keith somehow had missed the rule
and did not know about it. He contributed without
first clearing it at the top.

This seems to be the difference.

7. The point is whether permission should be required at all
Permission implies that the network's management has discretion. If they refuse permission to everyone, that's not really discretion. If they approve some and disapprove others without any discernible policy reason, that's either personal favoritism or just plain confusion. If they approve some and disapprove others based on who gets the donation, it's a clear violation of their so-called journalistic ethics of neutrality. So which is it, MSNBC?

8. He almost certainly did
we now know that he gave money in 2010 when Rachel on air said all his donations were under the previous management. Presuming she asked management they didn't know about his 2010 contributions, thus he couldn't have asked permission.
