League of Conservation Voters Applauds Defeat of Seven of the "Dirty Dozen Candidates"

LCV Applauds Defeat of Seven Dirty Dozen Candidates

Despite strong headwinds, seven of this year's 'Dirty Dozen' were defeated," said LCV President Gene Karpinski. "Big Oil and their allies in Congress may try to claim that the election's results were a rejection of clean energy policies. Quite frankly, that's insulting to voters, and it's just not true. Several of the 'flat earthers' running for Senate were defeated, while California's dirty energy ballot measure was overwhelmingly rejected."

LCV's trademark Dirty Dozen program targets candidates for Congress — regardless of party affiliation — who consistently vote against clean energy and conservation and are running in races in which LCV has a serious chance to affect the outcome. This cycle's Dirty Dozen is a baker's dozen (13). Additionally, for the first time ever, LCV named a ballot measure to the Dirty Dozen – California's Proposition 23. 5. Judging by her record and the turmoil she caused, you're darn right
What a disgusting spectacle she and the other Bleu Dawg idiots caused over the past 2 years!

My only regret is that Ben Nelson was not running this time! I'd like to have seen his seat go the way of the dinosaurs, to match his world view.

In 2012 we will have to work doubly hard to get true Progressives in office, people that will put OUR interests above corporate lobbyists and above their own careers. We need to bring the entire weight of the people down onto Rethug seats that they thought were safe forever as well as seats they believe there may be a battle for! Bring the pain to the Pukes in 2012!

PS, Alan Grayson, my hat is off to you sir!

4. Sorry, it will not allow me to edit now
You are correct. Just remove the period at the end.

My error was in pasting verbatum. I should have added the http jazz to the beginning of the link. Oooops! Sorry. :hide:
