Energy Comm Chair Candidate Says God Promised no More Catastrophic Climate Change after Noah
John Shimkus (R-Ill.), who will seek the Energy and Commerce Committee chairmanship maintains that we do not have to worry about climate change because God promised in the Bible not to destroy the world again after Noah’s flood.

9. Hey, literal man, God only promised no more earth-destroying floods.
Edited on Wed Nov-10-10 09:26 AM by tanyev
That does not rule out other methods of destruction.

Genesis 9:8-11
Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: “I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth. I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

20. Right
The promise is 'fire and brimstone' this time.

And this time the "Ark" may very well be a spaceship with genetic material?
Hey, it could happen.

18. "Face Palm" is not enough here...
I am thoroughly disgusted at Americans in general since the election. These Republican "thinkers" are so pathetic and so ass-backward that it strains credulity to think that so many of my fellow citizens actually thought putting the serial arsonists in charge again would not result in huge fucking bonfires.

I apologize to the future generations that will live in complete squalor and deprivation as a result of the regressive agenda these bastards are going to "ram down our throats" - to borrow their favorite comparison. I weep for the loss of the future that COULD have been mankind's destiny but for an ancient book of goat-herders campfire stories. Such a shame and so unnecessary...
