Democrat will be in great shape to win the WH and Congress in 2012
Republicans are on shaky ground.

A new CBS News poll finds that a majority of Americans are either disappointed by the outcome of last week's midterm elections or simply don't much care.

"U.S. achieves biggest one-year deficit reduction in American history,"

People have been defining the lack of leadership as Obama not doing what they want.

The President is leading this country, doing it in an effective way, and there are those who will never agree with his choices.

Leadership is making the choices he believes is right for the country. He needs to communicate that, but there is no guarantee that everyone will be satisfied with his message. Tough choices have that effect.

Social Security isn't going anywhere and the economy is bound to improve. Doom is not the future.

3. As always, your posts nail it, Prosense. Thanks! Hope over dispair
It always takes a while, but the American people will ultimately make the right choices.

I just wished they did that last election, but on the bright side? At least now the rest of the country will see what happens when Republicons have power. They abuse it without hesitation. Like a bunch of drunken idiots, they will abuse whatever power they have for own, personal gain.

Perhaps that's why the Republicons failed to win the Senate. I don't much like it that they won the State Legislatures and Governorships at alarming rates, allowing for 100% Delay-style gerrymandering to secure Republicon power for decades to come - like they did in Texas.

This can't be good for the country.

7. How does that poll mean democrats will win?
People could be disappointed because they wanted the Republicans to win the senate as well. Obviously in 2010 a lot of people supported republicans. Since they haven't even taken office yet, how can you possibly make predictions on what is going to happen in 2012.

8. No, it's because
they still don't like Republicans:

Despite their gains in last week's elections, Republicans are seen less favorably than Democrats overall. Forty-six percent of Americans have a favorable view of Democrats, matching the percentage who have an unfavorable view. The favorability rating for Republicans is 42 percent, with their unfavorable rating at 48 percent.
