if you refuse to address the crimes of the past then you sacrifice the future.
Cheney and many others of the Bush cabal learned that there were no real constraints on power back under Tricky Dick Nixon, who was pardoned by Ford. It was meant as an act of kindness, and to bring the nation together, but what it did was let Cheney and others learn that there was NO real punishment for crimes.
Bush/Chenet/Wolfowitz etc should be in the Hague for war crimes. The fact we do nothing is criminal.

4. I am somewhere between the past, present, and future.
I try to remember the past, but my memory is shot. In the present, I'm always thinking about right now but with a foot in the past and future too.

It never hurts to plan somewhat loosely for the future, because things change and sometimes things do not go exactly how you plan in life. That is one thing I have learned that has helped greatly in life. Plan for the future some, but be open to the possibility that what you plan may be altered somewhat from what you originally pictured.

Usually, in my experience, any plan for the future IS usually changed once I get there. By keeping my expectations from being EXACTLY like I planned, I am now able to somewhat accept what happens as opposed to what I planned, if it at least comes close enough. Sometimes, it even works out for the best despite the fact that the end result was different than what I expected. Sometimes not, though, too.

7. From tree to snack, I wonder how long it takes to make one.
And where did figs come from? Will the thrill pass and fig newtons become less desirable. Will they go the way of Tang for example?
