2. I found it funny -- if it's not fake.
Lots of crap goes on behind the scenes at pretty much every job.

4. Just an FYI, that photo was allegedly taken at least 2 years ago. NOT current.
A link to the original poster's page shows not only how old it is but even at the time of posting the uploader said the image was "old".

6. It looks fake to me...but that is without taking the picture apart
On most gov computers you can not change the wallpaper.

7. I've posted the "My First Cavity Search" pic to make fun of the TSA.
Edited on Mon Nov-15-10 02:22 PM by backscatter712
I'm not sure what to think of members of the TSA itself using that pic as wallpaper...

8. FAKE: The TSA can't afford gloves
However, they do spit on their hands to ease insertion issues.

9. Fake--gov. employees can't put up their own wallpaper or screensavers.
Edited on Mon Nov-15-10 02:37 PM by blondeatlast
what you see there is precisely why.

I wasn'[t even able to post a pic of my son on my monitor when I was a public service employee.

10. Now they'll have to teach kids "but it's ok when a TSA goon in a uniform does it."
Edited on Mon Nov-15-10 02:45 PM by TexasObserver
We teach them not to allow bad touching, but what can we do about TSA cops? The whole concept goes off the rails.

Why not go to bomb sniffing dogs? They can smell explosives we can't even see.

The terrorists HAVE won. We have given away our personal freedoms for nothing, for unbridled fear devoid of reason or purpose.

12. I'm sure it's a fake. Incredibly easy to Photoshop any image
into such a photograph. Such a thing simply wouldn't be allowed at any TSA installation. This was posted here earlier, sometime last week, and started a long discussion. It's still a Photoshopped fake. When you hear hoofbeats, odds are it's horses.

15. That doesn't look fake to me.
Notice the blue "glow" around the monitor extends into the border. No rough edges around the screen image. Border is uniform. Soft focus matches the surroundings. Image is properly skewed to match tilt of monitor.

I am NOT saying it is definitely genuine. I'm only saying I see no evidence of tampering.

Others have pointed out that it is strictly against the rules to change backgrounds on a government (TSA) computer. That's surely the case, but someone might have found a workaround, snapped this picture, then quickly took it down.

It could also be fake, but if so, it's a very well-done one.

18. I don't know if it's fake or real
but at least you gave a thoughtful analysis. I haven't seen that from those that claim it's fake. Claiming it's fake because it's against the rules is ridiculous.

16. why he may pose a threat to NS. isnt that the truth. we ought to all understand why
we pose a threat to NS and how it must be stopped.

i know

CAVITY searches. if the groping and naked scanners dont reduce us to submission surely those cavity searches will.... and maybe we wont pose such a threat
