Gay Rights Activists Accuse Obama Of Silent Homophobia (VIDEO)

Interesting to listen to, but ultimately I don't find it true. Obama may have a million things wrong with him, but I DO NOT find him homophobic. Frankly I don't think he has a homophobic bone in his body!

Sorry folks, but my computer skills are somewhat shaky. I'm trying to provide the link to the story by Sam Stein on HuffingPost.Com under Politics. Can anybody help? Thanks!

This homosexual believes Lt. Dan Choi and says stick the nameless staffer and said staffer's cover your ass story where the sun don't shine.

I'm supposed to believe that obama is engaged in a fight for us? Profanity fails me.

4. I think it is less that he is homophobic than he is purely heterocentric.

He intellectually understands what discrimination against gays is, but it doesn't touch his soul. He therefore feels no urgency about it. He just does not really get how a civil union is not just as good as marriage. He doesn't hate gays - he just doesn't understand gays and that gets in his way.

What he doesn't understand is that his job is not to 'understand' or 'accept'. It is to see to it that gays are treated no differently than any other person. His feelings are immaterial to the law.

5. I definitely think Obama is homophobic. He may not be a right-wing ultra-bigoted homophobe but ..

He doesn't support marriage equality. I can't remember the last time he mentioned ENDA, if he ever has. He certainly hasn't done anything to expedite the repeal of DADT.

While some might claim he is simply ignorant on these issues, I chalk it up to homophobia simply because I think he is an intelligent man. If his sense of intelligence and his sense of what is right and wrong are not guiding him on these issues, then homophobia is the most likely alternative.

I hadn't thought of it this way, but you seem to have a good point. Besides, Obama, as an African American, should at least have a clue about homophobia (as in how homophobic marriage inequality is). If I remember correctly, Obama explained his lack of support for marriage equality to "how he was raised." If that were the case, then wouldn't he then be justifying white bigots who don't support interracial marriage because, "they weren't raised that way."
