42 killed after building collapses in India: Police
NEW DELHI—Police say the death toll has risen to 42 in the building collapse in the Indian capital.

Police and rescuers are racing to pull survivors from the debris of a four-story building that collapsed in a congested neighbourhood in New Delhi.

A police official, speaking on condition of anonymity, says 42 people have been killed and 83 injured.

Local residents, who were the first to reach the scene of the accident, used their bare hands to scoop away mud and mortar and pull out survivors. ............(more)

The international company I work for has an office in Delhi. My colleagues work there. I hope they're all ok. I'll be on pins-and-needles until they reply to my email.

PS: The death toll has risen.

2. When ever will we listen? Extreme weather is upon us due to
the heating of the atmosphere brought on by man made global climate change. And the repthuglicans say god will fix it.


]Finance minister A K Walia said the foundation of the old building could have weakened due to the heavy rains in monsoon when water of the Yamuna river flooded the area.
