I suspect the Airlines will put the pressure...

As is the tune has slightly changed from know your place...to we're willing to listen. They didn't expect this at all...

1. Sad but true... Money.. the only thing that motivates Govt or Corporate America in any direction...

... the stark fact.. sooner or later... the American people are going to have to publicly oppose oppose the Bush (now Obama) War on Terror for the fraud it is.

It won't be pretty and the PTB won't go quietly into the night.

Somewhat off topic but the (big elephant in the room for the last 10 years )..... WTC-7 didn't just fall down in it's own footprint all by itself... Christians and Muslims don't "automatically" go to war with each other because they 'hate our freedom' or they want '36 virgins'.

There's PROFIT in terror...big profits for big crooks.

And the Murican people are reacting. This can't be good, what's next? Taking to the streets over a few other issues?

4. As They Make Flying More Unpleasant, People are Flying Less
The airlines respond to reduced ticket sales by cutting even more frills, making the seats even smaller,
then add ever more obnoxious security, and then they wonder why their customers aren't coming back.

The flight attendants and the agents on the ground likely bear the brunt of travellers' frustration
and I'm sure their pay isn't going up either.

I take the train when I can.

15. Sales at the airlines are definitely going to fall if the scanners and the gropings continue.
Then the airlines will press Congress and the President for ANOTHER bailout.

Remember it was the airlines who didn't put in place the most fundamental recommendations made by the FAA prior to 9/11, who are at fault for the security lapses on that day. September 11th likely never would have happened if airlines did as the FAA instructed them to do. As a result of their greed and incompetence, we are left all being treated like common criminals who are subjected to degrading scanners which deliver radiation, or to an embarrassing, intrusive groping in order to fly.

9. Thankgiving will always be a big day for flying. It's a 4 day
weekend, if you want to get somewhere far from home, flying is the only way to go. Has airport business slowed down at all? I haven't seen any numbers.

14. I fly only when absolutely necessary
Not frequently at all. This year due to medical emergencies a total of twice...the most I have in over a decade.

11. Are you confusing 'the airlines' with 'the TSA?'
It's rather hard to tell from the sentence fragments you posted and your misuse of the ellipsis for punctuation.
