Sarah Palin: I couldn't afford to stay governor
The Anchorage Daily News reported in March 2009 that Palin owed more than a half-million dollars in legal debts after fighting numerous ethics violation claims. The state personnel board went on to declare that the legal fund set up while she was governor to help pay those debts was itself illegal. (The fund was shut down and relaunched.) Palin cited the ethics charges in a post-resignation interview with ABC News: "t has been costing our state millions of dollars. It's cost Todd and me. You know the adversaries would love to see us put on the path of personal bankruptcy so that we can't afford to run."


Geez, I wish I could suffering trying to survive on $125k a year plus my husband's salary. Maybe if she wasn't so greedy and power hungry she'd be able to make a go of it even with 5 kids.

5. Anybody have a record of the Clintons' legal bills
or the US government's legal bills by the end of Bill's Presidency? :shrug: Does anybody care about how much money the Republicans wasted going after the Clintons? Did Clinton decide to quit halfway through his first (or second term)?

And some people still think that Palin's Presidential material?????

8. My mom raised five kids..
on a whole lot less. She was an LPN (she's now an RN) and my dad worked at a printing plant. Trust me, it was a lot less money, even if it was many years ago.

It drives me crazy when the right pumps her up as a working mom that has FIVE, children, lots of women do that, and more she's not special cuz she had five kids while she worked.

9. Maybe if you had understood the law, you'd wouldn't have had to pay lawyers to defend you.
Amazingly, most other governors don't/didn't have your ethical problems that created your legal problems. What is this...a call for corruption in government?
