FEC Dismisses Complaint Against Ensign For Parents' Payment To Mistress

The Federal Elections Commission has dismissed a complaint against Sen. John Ensign (R-NV) that alleged that he made an illegal contribution to his own campaign when his parents gave his former mistress and staffer -- and her family -- $96,000.

The complaint, brought by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, claimed that the payment counted as severance and, as such, was an in-kind contribution to Ensign's

6. Hey..he said he was running again, so of course they had to cover up his "problem"
Now when he starts campaigning, he'll just say " That;s OLD news..charges were dismissed..it was a witch hunt, and I'm the victim here"..

and the voters will say it's a personal problem, and his family dealt with it, so it's no biggie.. and he's kinda handsome..and they will re-elect him...

7. The repubs
were complaining the other day saying, that when a Dem does something they get away with it and all Cons go to jail and their example was Duke cunningham and Abramhoff. They don't seem to get the fact that they have more criminals in their party...
