Incoming GA Gov (R-natch) stacks transition team w/lobbyists
Unashamedly, unabashedly, and publicly. MFSOB.

ATLANTA (AP) - As Republican Nathan Deal prepares to take over as Georgia's next governor he's relying on a transition team stacked with current and former lobbyists. Business leaders and others who could have a financial stake in the decisions of his administration are also on the 26-member team helping Deal navigate the next two months before he's sworn in Jan. 10.

They are helping him set a legislative agenda and priorities for the state budget. They also have the governor-elect's ear as he hires aides and agency heads.

Several of those Deal has tapped to help lead his transition are veterans of the state Capitol's lobbying corps, having worked for industries from health care and insurance to utilities and tourism.

The Deal camp says current lobbyists have agreed to halt lobbying activities.

1. Hi Curt
:hi:

I'm so fucking disgusted.

You can't even drag these idiot fucking morons here into the next decade, much less the next century.

They are DETERMINED to continue to vote AGAINST their best interests....

3. Purdue & Deal
I see that Purdue has been actively securing contracts with the Savannah ports so that his private grain business will benefit. Now he has put several of his political appointees in State jobs and doubled their salaries. He also had some legislator sneak into the tax code an item that will only benefit Purdue. Plus, Purdue has had several land deals set up while Governor that benefit him. I am sure glad that these Republican governors are worried about the citizens and their jobs.

You think Deal hasn't been checking out how Purdue has benefited personally as Governor? Wait until this clown gets into power especially with his Chief of Staff.

Roswell.
