You can watch what you want. If you want to watch Gilligan's Island reruns, go ahead. If you want to watch DWTS, do that, too.

box wouldn't pick up (we live about 90 miles from the closest station), no cable, no dish, and only dial up for internet.

We watch stuff now via netflix, and our daughter tapes some stuff for us. We did watch DWTS because we like to watch ballroom dancing. Pairs ice dancing is enjoyable as well.

I mostly made the earlier post because I was responding to what appeared to be a post questioning why anyone would watch such a thing. The poster himself had made an OP, a separate thread, as to how difficult the voting was.

We had the converter box and an antenna. We got Rockford stations, about sixty miles away, and Quad Cities, too. It worked for us. I am sorry it does not work for you. We have Tivo now.

I know some people who love this show because they like dancing, just like you.

I think that people can watch any TV shows they please. This one is certainly harmless enough. Some DUers turn up their noses at everything. I watch about an hour of DWTS every week. I watch from 7-8 p.m. on Mondays. I am only mildly interested, even with this new controversy. The controversy was mentioned throughout the hour I watched this evening. Ms. Palin made some references to those she calls "the haters." The Palins and all the teabaggers have specialized in hate. The people who don't want to see her win are NOT haters. They simply know that she does not deserve to be there, that she is there because her fans cheat and game the system.

I am sorry for the people who look forward to watching this show. If this turns into a fiasco, the ratings may suffer, and some people may lose their favorite show.

We've not missed it much. We read more, listen to music, watch movies via Netflix, and actually have conversations again.

It reminds me of a couple of years ago when Adam Lambert was on American Idol and everyone here thought he lost cause he was gay.
