Hmmmm. This could turn out poorly
North and South Korea are apparently trading artillery rounds.
But hey, at least there's money to be made off of this, right?

2. So What's North Korea Trying To Shakedown This Time?
There's always a backstory to these incidents...usually the North trying to get some kind of aid to "behave". It's timed with the revelation that the North has been refining nuclear fuel (like that's a surprise??) and this could be a diversion from the coverage (almost all foreign) this issue was getting.

The South has little to gain of any invasion of the North. While both sides want reunification on their terms, and I do believe one day the South will prevail, the costs in life and treasure to the South is too great...both in fighting a war (even if the US comes in and does most the heavy lifting) or being able to handle all the economic and social messes of the north. South Korea has thrived under the status quo...and China nor Japan have any interest for a war on their doorstep.

Expect some protracted negotiation to evolve, the North to get some backdoor aid and we're back to where we were.

3. Well lets see. We are arming the south. And China is arming the north.
Wall street is pushing overseas and Asian investments right now, so they stand to make a lot when public Chinese manufacturers sell to the North and their stock rises.

And US manufacturers and investors stand to make a lot by selling to the South.

We are all fucked.
