Brings me back to earth and reconnects me to my humanity. Grounds me. For a while I can forget
all the bullshit of the world. Edit to add: Just sharing a personal moment from a simpler time with everyone.

5. It's a great fantasy, a classic film--I love it
This evening I arrived home to find TMC was showing 'Seven Days in May,' another classic film. Fortunately, I'd only missed a little of the beginning--and I blew off a "Big Bang Theory" rerun to see the film, which is one of my favorites.

Both 'Miracle' and 'Seven Days' --entirely different films--have a place, and a value. Of course, I'm also looking forward to seeing 'A Christmas Story' for the umpty umpth time. :)

6. I've seen it at least a dozen times and
I still well up when Santa speaks to the little Dutch girl in her native language.

"reconnects me to my humanity" Yeah, I like that.
