Is anybody besides me, interested in a Palin-free zone on DU?

I haven't been on for days because of the holidays, finally had some downtime to check out DU & I just counted 14 threads about Palin on pg 1 of GDP... haven't counted, and have no interest in counting how many threads on Palin are in GD.

Personally, if I never saw her name again, or heard that voice again, I would be a much happier person.

I just want her to go away. Especially on DU.

Am I alone in feeling this way? Please check in and let me know if anyone else is wanting and needing a DU vacation from Palin?

Many of us are not plugged in at all to the voices of Corporate Conformity. And yet we can't help being exposed to the Corporate message nonetheless. (For example, you don't have to watch Oprah to be bombarded by well-intentioned recommendations for the books that Oprah, Inc. loves. Similarly, even I have heard of Lady Gaga.)

In a sane world, the unmentioned would be, well, unmentioned. But because she's got control of a gigantic megaphone, even those who are appalled by her veneer of legitimacy can't help voicing our opinions. Our voices in turn fan the flames of her fire.

Especially with the political media, as nobody calls her out on it.

Time is better spent building networks to defeat he if she runs for President or Vice-President again. Time is also better spend working to build the type of society that you view as just and economically equitable.

I usually don't even reply to Palin topics. But almost half of them are people claiming they are tired of Palin related topics.

If former Gov. Palin says or does something newsworthy, then there should be a thread allowing us to discuss her or whatever she's said or done. But starting a thread (or threads) to complain about how there are too many threads about her seems rather silly.

I hate them, too, but I am not going to demand that the board be cleansed of everything I dislike.

Actually, I suspect that she doesn't have it in her to run. She will make believe, she will pretend, she will prance, and talk the royal we, but she will not run. Inside that cottoncandy filled skull, even she realizes that she has no clue about this world, and has no inclination of learning about it. But if she pretends to run, she gets the best of botox worlds. She gets money, fame, money, and fame. The four food groups of the Palin Family.
