Sometimes people just suck.

This woman was mugged as she was leaving a fund-raiser that was held to help her pay her medical bills, and the mugger stole all the money that was raised. The cops said criminals deliberately go to these events looking for people to steal from.

And it also sucks that people have to hold fund-raisers to help their friends and families pay for medical treatment.

I'm not blaming her, nor the event. I just can't imagine letting someone leave something like this by herself.

The fact that Americans need to hold fundraisers and bake sales to pay for medical procedures is shameful on another level. But then, I voted for Kucinich.
