Scary Environmentalist ‘Dragon’ Trying To Destroy Christianity
The Green Dragon is what a "who's who" of Religious Right leaders — including the American Family Association's unimaginably terrible Bryan Fischer and the Family Research Council's very sympathetic Tony Perkins — have dubbed the environmentalist movement. It is a secret liberal death monster trying to seduce your children with pretty talk about "saving the world" when all it really wants to do is molest/kill your children, or at the very least force them to worship the environment as their new God. Intrigued? You can buy this 12-part motherfucking scam on DVD for $49.95. Or you can just watch this gaudy trailer and jump off a few buildings:

1. Fight, fight!
In this corner, we have the AFA and the FRC. Squaring off against them are the Evangelical Environmentalists, who think that caring for the earth is part of their Christian duty. We know where the big money is, and certainly the likes of Fischer and Perkins aren't going to be quiet about the betrayal by their co-religionists. But who writes the better narrative for the folks in the pews?

Sit yourself down and pour a frosty mug of root beer. We're likely to see some fundamentalist fur fly!

2. Hmm...I wonder what Bible these people read...

Must be a new revised version. I went to a lot of Sunday School and church when I was a young'un (not anymore, thank you) and I clearly remember that one of God's orders to mankind was that we should take proper, loving care of his world. No, really. And now these bozos insist that caring for the environment is an ungodly plot?

I observe this as a practicing atheist with a sentimental attachment to the loving, humanitarian aspects of Christianity. It's good to know the Environmental Evangelists are out there working on it.

5. Isn't the argument something along the lines of
"God created the Earth for Man to live on, so it's up to Man to do what he likes to the Earth", right? But where does it say that if the Earth is ruined, God will make us a new one?

7. Speaking as a Dragon these people do not know shit
They only read the parts of their book that agrees with them
And you are correct, I believe the Bible says that man is the steward
of the world. A good steward does not destroy the thing that he is suppose
to protect.

It is my belief that Pagans are more Christ like than these so called christians.
They would not know Christ if he tapped them on the shoulder.

6. As I said before, be sympathetic to anything the extremists don't like...
...and they'll say you "worship" it.

OK, I'll stop now.
