Jack Shafer is naive and dumb.

I see a lot of coverage that says how dangerous it is that foreign leaders and diplomats are finding out what American diplomats say about them in private cables. Who really thinks that career diplomats and leaders are that stupid. They know that people say things like that. Hell. They know they say it about American diplomats.

And silly Shafer says that the horrible sin of asking diplomats to quasi-spy is revealed. In what world are diplomats so naive and so unsophisticated that they don't know that our diplomats are watching their diplomats just as carefully as their diplomats are watching our diplomats?

Shafer is simplistic and shows no knowledge of the "craft".

Hillary is tougher than nails and she won't be going out the door.

but they fret about someone calling the head ass of Korea a fatty. I think it may be the kindest thing to say about him.
