I'm having Post '04 election levels of insomnia and ulcer-like symptoms
Edited on Fri May-25-07 02:28 AM by SaveAmerica
I've come to the realization that I care way too much. I can't turn myself back into the person who didn't have a political care in the world other than to think that Bill Clinton was doing a fine job as president. I can't make myself stop trying to make things better in whatever small way I can. So when something happens like it has the past few days, it hurts me physically. Tears up my gut. I'm trying to do whatever I can possibly do to help our soldiers and then someone with the power and the ability to do something takes that chance and throws it in the garbage; I can't wrap my mind around it. Takes a beautifully wrapped present and holds it up on the end of their fingertips and clumsily lets it fall to the ground in a million pieces.

I'm editing to add that I've watched the Rosie/Elizabeth fight 2 or 3 times now and I have to say I see a bit of what I'm feeling in Rosie O'Donnell's eyes. I get the feeling she's thinking it's not worth it to tell the truth and get it out there because the 27 percenters are lost, and many of the rest of us don't want to be bothered with anything. I hope she doesn't leave the show early.

1. You aren't alone.
Hang in there.

There will be more budgets in July for this...again.

It's not over. Take a breath. We'll get through it.

Take one of these like I did and try to enjoy the holiday weekend.

2. Hey, thanks!
Maybe that'll help cure my ulcer flare-up, too! The Prilosec doesn't seem to be doing a good job by itself so far....

4. You are not alone. I too have watched the View fight, but more
for Joy's comments at the beginning of the show, which the media is ignoring! Joy basically begged for the impeachment of B* and for Gore to run! This I think is why such a storm has been created and I think it was planned for EH to go off like that so Rosie could once again be targeted, but erstwhile Joy's comments are not taken seriously, even though she was dead serious as a comedian. If you haven't seen the entire episode, I'll get the YouTube link.

70+% of us think the war is wrong and most now know it was based on a lie. If Congress refused to stop spending we can refuse to spend for them.

8. It's admirable that you want to help ...
but the reality is they are not your soldiers. They volunteered and took an oath to follow the cowards who support them.

11. no, they ARE our
soldiers, our sons, daughters, husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, neighbors, friends and family.

We all support them in one way or another- whether we 'desire' to or not. They took an oath to defend the Constitution, and the country- that oath didn't give them a "but if i don't like it personally' clause. * USED this oath to his own advantage- and as pissed as i am over giving this mad-man his way, that doesn't change the reality.

There are some in Iraq- who signed on for the 'mission'- and thought they knew what they were doing. there are others, (FAR too many) who signed on with no idea that we would get involved in a mess like this. People unwilling to break their promises, even when led by a man who has no concept of what real waror honoring your military commitment or being held accountable really is.

We can't pretend we don't own a piece of this. Simply by virtue (or curse in this case) of being an american citizen.
