Ousted Inspector General Graves - Says Monica Lied
Former USA Graves says Monica lied

Graves gets office’s support
Inspector general’s statement casts doubt on official’s version of prosecutor’s ouster.
By DAVE HELLING
The Kansas City Star

...............

On Wednesday, former Justice Department official Monica Goodling said that Graves’ being forced out of office in early 2006 “related more to the fact that he was under investigation by the inspector general.”

But she did not say and was not asked what the investigation had involved. On Thursday, Graves said the inspector general’s announcement buttressed his version of events.

"This proves that the claim Monica Goodling casually tossed out against me ... was scurrilous and irresponsible, but I guess that's the state of Washington politics," Graves said. "I won’t bother waiting by my phone for an apology."

Graves also released the 10-page inspector general’s report, with some of the names blacked out. It concluded that Graves had not violated the law or department regulations by appearing at a 2002 fundraiser for his brother, Rep. Sam Graves. At the Westin Crown Center event, Todd Graves had his picture taken with Vice President Dick Cheney.

the whole Justice Dept. thing, anyway. They will vote "no confidence" at some point in the next month or so and that will be that. Will Gonzo still be AG? You bet! Anything else on the agenda? No? Ok then, its on to a summer of fun and massive casualties in Iraq! And don't forget Iran!

Senator McCarthy.

Indeed this is an opportunity to label the GOP - in the mind of the public - as the corrupt trash that they really are or at least tolerate.

It worked in the 50's to label liberals.

But perhaps you are right - the Dems do not play hardball.

7. That's what all the ratf**kers said about Vietnam and Watergate. REALIITY CHECK!
Read a little history, please. Students died at Kent State protesting Vietnam. Millions marched while "I'm not a crook" illegally invaded other countries. Have you no sense of the power of the US Executive? Worse still, the powers the US Executive can and has usurped!!

While it is theoretically possible to impeach in a day, check the Watergate and Vietnam timelines. Go to summer school for a little history.

6. Perhaps there was more than one investigation ?? Plus, the Medicare investigation.
One thing we do know with certainty, the MO USA was also investigating Tenet Healthcare, just like Carol Lam. This connection is not in the MO firing spotlight yet.

There are some serious poker players at the DC table, and the stakes could not be higher (read impeachment and prison). The black-hatted cheaters have made off with $$billions$$ and the white hats are not showing all their current cards yet. And, like at every poker table, there is a lot of bluffing going on, and distractions to take eyes of the cards. We have a really great "tell" in that Lamb and Graves were working on the same bilking $billions$ investigation (Tenet with their GOP chairman lobbyist), just one of several Medicare bilked $billions$ inquiries (Majority leader Frist being another).

Any questions remaining about which colors should be substituted on the red/blue maps????

Rep. ROY BLUNT (R-MO) = $3.6M in no-bid state contracts ...Graves Family
Target the Corrupt Republican Campaign (Missouri Focus)
http://corruptrepub.blogspot.com/2005/07/target-corrupt

............... From CBS NEWS - June 11, 2003

.... Governor Matt Blunt has tried to prevent the U.S. Attorney's office from investigating his family's scandals by putting the wife of U.S. Attorney Todd Graves (U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri) on the Blunt Family payroll to the tune of a cool half million dollars a year, and he used taxpayer dollars to do it. This is described in the Kansas City Star. And here is an excerpt from a petition to Attorney General Gonzales demanding an investigation of this corruption:

It has recently been reported that United States Attorney Todd Graves and his family will personally benefit from no-bid state contracts valued at more than $3.6 million given by Missouri Governor Matt Blunt. This raises serious ethical and legal questions ..............
