Now is the time for all good people to come to the aid of their country
Reaching Obama is a lost cause, and more energy funneled in that direction is useless. Now is the time to flood your congresscritter's office with calls, emails, personal visits . . . whatever you can manage. Whatever genuine representation we have left in Washington has got to know this deal is a disaster and be persuaded to act accordingly. Just because the top of the party wants to capitulate doesn't mean we have to follow suit.

2. Bet you 10% of folks here don't do anything
other than to continue to Blame Obama.

Folks here capitulated as soon as they voted in 2008.....
after that, it was all supposed to be on automatic pilot.

3. 15% or so I've been told. Of course, they probably were going back on THEIR word too.

6. Her idea of capitulation is staying on the Left while the President lurches Right
we were supposed to jump off the cliff with him, or so we're told. It's all about his TEAM, not what we, as a party, stand for.

9. Yeah, let's DO IT!
And if primarying out Obama in 2010, results in a`GOP ascendancy for for the next 8 years or even longer, so what? You can't make an omelet without smashing a few eggs!

(Some here on DU are just PINING for a return of that Unitary President!)

10. I'm talking about calling your senators and representatives.
Talking about primaries at this point is just jawboning.

Perhaps I overreacted a bit, but have you been following DU lately?

Jim McDermott is my Congressman, and Pat Murray and Maria Cantwell are my Senators. I've been spending waaay to much time on DU lately, so I may amble off and check out their websites.

13. Understood, and thanks.
DU can be a madhouse sometimes. But I, personally, would really, really prefer that Obama comes around to our way of seeing things at some point and all this primary business goes away. We need to be united when 2012 rolls around.
