Aaron Sorkin Brands Sarah Palin TV Show 'A Snuff Film'
West Wing creator accuses contender for 2012 Republican presidential nomination of shooting an animal 'for political gain'
by Jason Deans

West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin today gave Sarah Palin both barrels over her US TV reality show, accusing the contender for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination of shooting an animal "for political gain".

Aaron Sorkin described Sarah Palin as 'deranged', a 'witless bully' and a 'phony pioneer girl'. (Photograph: Gilles Mingasson/AP)Sorkin, writer of the recent Facebook movie The Social Network, also accused the Fox News contributor of making a "snuff film" after the latest episode of Sarah's Palin's Alaska featured the politician going hunting with her father and shooting a caribou.

He described Palin as "deranged", a "witless bully" and a "phony pioneer girl". He also said The Learning Channel, the US cable network, "should be ashamed of itself" for broadcasting her "truly awful reality show"...

..."And you didn't just do it for fun and you didn't just do it for money. That was the first moose ever murdered for political gain. You knew there'd be a protest from Peta and you knew that would be an opportunity to hate on some people, you witless bully. What a uniter you'd be – bringing the right together with the far right."...

1. I love your title, couldn't agree more also.
the tea baggers like Palin become energized with peoples hate,

remember when the dumb daughter said " By winning dancing with the stars, it's giving the middle finger to all those that hate my mother"

they laugh and make fun of animal right groups.
We live in a world now that I am as time goes on, do not understand.

2. They should rename the show to "Sarah Palin's Adventures in Animal Cruelty"

That caribou had to have been confined by something on the other side of that ridge. How he didn't smell them or hear the report from at least 6 gunshots is a mystery to me. Sarah's shots must have been way off to not have even grazed him or anything.

Not to mention Sarah is obviously ignorant of firearm operations and even basic firearm safety. "Does it kick"? Anything with enough power to take down a caribou is gonna kick. A lot. And she needed Daddy to work the bolt. What a joke. Complete amateur hour.

I'm all for hunting but an ethical hunter takes an animal's life as quickly and painlessly as possible. Anyone who can't hit a caribou with 6 shots from a scoped rifle at a distance probably less than 100 yards has no business shooting at it. Its just bad sportsmanship. She should have let a better marksman take the shot.
