He stated that the Republicans have info - the President has info. But the Senate Dems STILL don't have particulars on this *deal*?

WTF?

6. I'm suspicious -- WHY didn't the President even bother to fill in his own party?
This smacks of the same sort of dealing that got stimulus money shoveled into the pockets of Wall Street.

This president has such contempt for Democrats that he feels he doesn't NEED to keep his own party informed? Again -- WTF?

8. Arrogance?
The dems will vote the way I tell them too, they've done it before so they will do it now?

Or
Don't give congress too much time to look at this!

20. he did. They had plently of notice and time to set their own course
But they really don't want to. They want the President to take the heat for what they're just planning on doing anyway. They will compromise at some point or they'll walk away. This is just another demonstration of their wallowing ways. They need to get on with it.

15. where do you get your narrative?
It didn't come from me. Harkin's a good guy. The Senate is chaotic and scattered. It's a wonder they didn't make some sort of effort to either lay the groundwork for a compromise or just tell us they're going to walk away from the whole thing. Now they're acting as if it was the President that brought them to this place, when they can just attempt whatever they believe they are able. Silly to act as if they aren't going to compromise. Silly to make everyone wait while they diddle around trying to figure out how and when.

11. WTF, indeed.
No wonder Obama tried to pre-empt comparison of this with the the public option.
It is very reminiscent of single payer advocates being shut out of negotiation and advocates for the public option, including Progressive Congress members being treated dismissively.

That's the only explanation that makes sense to me.
