Not even Bernie Sanders thinks Jim DeMint shares his values and concerns about taxes, but he's willing to join with republicans like DeMint to filibuster and defeat our Democratic President's compromise tax 'framework' agreement.

DeMint wants to make the upper-income tax cuts permanent. He wants a larger exemption on the estate tax. He opposes the earned income tax cut.

Moreover, he thinks that if he defeats this compromise, he'll have a better chance in the next Congress to get what he wants through. That may be just wishful thinking, but why enable him in that?

1. Maybe they are following along with Obama's msg of bipartisanship.
Truly, what are they doing? I wish it was governing the nation, but it seems more like they are playing politics (for points) with our welfare and our future.
