7. I guess I should have used this...

Yes, Nader did a lot of good work 40 years ago.

Even listening to him tonight he is pimping what he did 40-50 years ago. If the Corporate News/Fox Noise would have been around 40-50 years ago, Nader would never had been heard from.

Fuckit.

3. I turned him off - I didn't want to see him be a 'fierce advocate' for his own tax cuts for yet
another night. I guess good for him for his apology.

8. Such is the nature of life, especially on an internet message board, where people post
their thoughts and opinions.

9. Good for him....
I think LO is an honorable guy.... he has a hard time not thinking himself to have superior knowledge and instincts, given his experience with the Senate on tax issues, but he is still learning to be the host. I'll give him that time.

this is a lesson in bipartisanship, how we have to hug this shit to our bosoms. I can't take him anymore.

21. While I want to give him benefit of the doubt, one thing occurred to me today...
Edited on Fri Dec-10-10 12:18 AM by hlthe2b
(talking about making your head hurt).... This Howard Fineman article (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/09/the-clinton-crew-takes-ov_n_794430.html ) discusses how Obama had brought in all the Clinton folks after the mid-term elections to deal with this issue, including: Lawrence Summers, Gene Sperling, Ron Klain, Jack Lew and John Podesta. Austan Goolsbee, chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors, is an early Obama advisor, but he's philosophically in tune with the economic views of the Clinton types. He goes on to say: "The significance of this staff shift is beyond the operational. The Clinton-era alums, by outlook and experience, represent a centrist, pragmatic, pro-business "wealth-creation" wing of the Democratic Party that flourished during the Clinton presidency in the 1990s."

Now, given that LO was chief of staff to Moynihan's Senate Finance Committee in 93 and thus honchoed in the Clinton tax bill, is it possible there might be a bit of collusion going on?

'Hate to admit I'm thinking along these lines, but I am....

16. I agree he was way out of line last night - particularly towards Grayson - still was good of him to
apologize. But Keith or Rachel or even Ed - he is not. (Cenk Uygur for MSNBC 10pm slot - then we'd really see how well people can handle the truth!)

12. Tuesday, O'Donnell ranted about the near impossible task of writing tax law...
...retroactively.

Tonight, Grayson says December 31 is an arbitrary date. The President can direct the IRS to extend the current tax rates then we can rewrite them retroactively.

Unchallenged.

Quite different from O'D's diatribe on Tuesday.

Nader rocks :toast:

25. He lets Nader go on and on and on...
And on and on and on.... And he barely talks to Jane Hamsher in comparison, acts somewhat civil to Alan Grayson, and cuts off Michael Lerner. What's that all about?

I wish Cenk would have gotten that time slot. I really do.

This pompous know-it-all should never have been given a slot on MSNBC, especially with Thom Hartman and Ceynk on the bench.
