We went from pie to cake.
We're in the "Let them eat cake." stage of the game.

Unless...I have a question. What are the chances that all this talk about ending Social Security and the tax thing, is a deceptive move to create a situation which Obama never planned to dismantle? It's just a ruse, that in the end, he can say, "Alright, progressives, you win. We'll protect Social Security," but then we lose everything else?

2. I'm hoping this is a negotiating ploy.
While he's busy agreeing with the Republicans on other issues, he's creating a deceptive conflict that will distract us. In the end, he may "give in" on social security, giving us the impression we won something, when he never planned to destroy it in the first place.
