1. That's a valid question under only one circumstance
And that is if you value life over potential embarrassment of government officials due to their criminal acts.

2. It's a question of fact,
not values.

3. War? We're at war?
You'd never know it around here.

For all the death, destruction, and economic hardship the wars are causing, only an issue over taxes got anyone's attention.

And that's here among progressives!

5. It remains to be seen...
The leaks are relatively recent.

7. Did anyone read these other questions?
Number 1: Do the America People deserve know the truth regarding the ongoing wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen?

Number 2: Could a larger question be how can an army private access so much secret information?

Number 3: Why is the hostility directed at Assange, the publisher, and not at our governments failure to protect classified information?

Number 4: Are we getting our moneys worth of the 80 Billion dollars per year spent on intelligence gathering?

8. I respect Ron Paul...
...I don't agree with him on many things, but what I really respect about him is that he says what he really thinks instead of giving us the mealy-mouthed content-free BS that most politicians dish out these days.

Don't get me wrong, I am not a Ron Paul supporter by any means. But he does state his real positions on various issues and he does not mince words. In this particular issue he is right on the money, and I thank him for speaking up about it.
