So... Some Think The Tax Deal Is A Second Stimulus... And Some Think It's A Final Mortgage Payment..
by the rich and powerful on the buying of this country.

Some think it will grow the economy enough in the next year or two to save SOME of the unemployed, create jobs, and give Barack Obama his re-election.

Some think that they cannot trust ANYBODY in D.C., and that this is both a way to crush Obama, the rest of the Democratic Party, and finally destroy the last vestige's of FDR's New Deal.

It is the ULTIMATE roll of the dice, and...

The Conventional Wisdom, is that a deal will pass by year's end.

All I know for sure, is that if Unemployment does not go down significantly and soon next year, we lose.

3. Thanks, but Biden gets the credit. He said long ago that China owns the mortgage
on our house, and that really stuck with me. :hi:

4. The tax deal is laying the foundation for the disembowelment of SS
Whether they wait until after the next election or directly after, it's coming.
Obama once promised SS was safe and just need some tweaking, but his word
is worth nothing. As I look back for direct quotes I realize how ambiguous his
language always was. With that consideration I tend to believe this was the goal
all along.

There are many great Democrats here and elsewhere, they just aren't in DC.
We will continue to fight because we give a shit, but we need to be sure of
who our friends are. There is no room for mistakes any longer.

6. a payroll tax holiday is the ultimate confirmation that there is nothing wrong with ss.
but the rub will be that reinstating it is raising taxes.
