You can tell that Al Franken and Dan Aykroyd aren't writing material anymore.

11:35 p.m. I'm still not laughing.

11:38 p.m. Still not laughing. Anyone, are you finding this vaguely amusing?

6. If you're talking about the lampooning of the president, it was good material.
They'll be playing that again on news shows the next 36 hours.

8. Apparently the truth hurts.
If it were accurate, how could it be funny? Obama sold us out.

10. Wasn't that a real address in the opening?
Sure seems like it was actual news, which is never funny.

14. Our grandparents didn't think it was funny when we were 25.

I still find SNL funny, and one only has to watch the entire first season of SNL again by DVD to realize how romaticized that first year has become. Some of it was great. Much of it was horrible. I watched it again last year, and I couldn't watch parts of it, they were so bad. There were jewels but there were a lot more horse apples.

Shows written to appeal to 20-30 year olds often don't appeal to viewers over 60.

Franken is a US senator and Aykroyd still appears on the show several times a season.

16. No tv. Want to sketch in a few details of what's upsetting you?
I'm kind of curious.

Thanks in advance.

17. It was harsh.
SNL has never been overly kind to sitting Presidents, nor should it! There is no humor in adulation. When they find themselves at the center of public attention they usually get what they have coming to them. Case in point tonight.:(
