1. And down in Mudville ... Casey took his last swing and we all headed for the bar.

2. Can't bear to look at the opulence in the WH
when I can barely afford food from the dollar store...

America is way out of balance in reference to its citizens basic needs...

Food banks are low here.

4. Yeah,
I really don't give a rat's ass how the Obamas are spending tax money on a cool looking tree either.

11. If the Obama's don't put up a Christmas tree, some teabagger will
fire off an RPG at the White House for being "one o' them dang MUSLINS!"

8. You're welcome.
People forget that the White House is the people's house. It's lovely and so tastefully decorated for the Holiday season. Simple Gifts was the theme this year, and it's so pretty.

14. I like the theme idea but there's nothing 'simple' about the display
of opulence. I am not singling out the President. I have felt this way about all White House Christmasses.

However, this year, this year especially, with all the economic pain occuring in the U.S., I think it could have been a whole lot simpler. Well, I know it could have been. Another opportunity lost to show the American people this administration is on the side of the average American.

7. I just checked the pics again that Skinner took when he was there.
Wonderful pictures. You can access them on his journal, it's worth the look if you haven't seen them yet.

12. It is absolutely beautiful.
Is there another one in the background there, in the other room?

15. From the pics I've seen every room has a tree and/or decorations.
The White House is a wonderful, historic place.
