F*** you, Jack; I got mine.
Does anyone know where that quote comes from?

I've seen people say that it represents the GOP. I don't really get it how they reconcile that with the Christian ethics many of them supposedly espouse.

3. A possible origin
Edited on Mon May-28-07 10:58 AM by dave_p
suggests that "Fuck you, Jack, I'm alright" (one of various forms) "described the bitter dismay of sailors ('jacks') returning home after wartime in the Navy to find themselves not treated as patriots or heroes, but ignored / sneered at by a selfish, complacent, get-ahead society - the phrase was subsequently toned down (to 'I'm alright, Jack') for acceptable general use."

I'm all right, Jack was a 1959 Boulting Bros satire on British industrial management and labor unions, so that form was well known in the UK by then (In the theme song it's "Blow you Jack...").

5. Don't they print that on the money nowadays? Or just on the proposed Reagan dime?
