1. None of the above.
The media exist to make money, period. That's why there was no anti-Iraq war sentiment in the media until the opinions of enough people changed. That's why there's so much tawdry, irrelevant content. It's all to make a buck.

3. Did the sharks stop biting?
That was the important story on the lead up to the invasion as I remember. Don't hear much about sharks any more.

8. Like Neil Bush & Silverado Savings plundering before Gulf War 1
Dadums lobbed big bombs and the public shrugged and said collectively, "Aint it a shame".

(I love Linda Elerby)

4. The country has been politically split 50-50 since at least 2000.
Why would a business enterprise whose only purpose is to make money cater to & broadcast to views of only half the population?

5. They Could Have Made a Lot of Money Reporting All the Repiglican Scandals…
Edited on Mon May-28-07 11:05 AM by AndyTiedye
…but they didn't. Instead they buried scandal after scandal, and gave us Repiglican talking points instead.

Yes, it is about making money -- for the parent corporation! Take NBC, owned by GE, big defense contractor.
They never met a war they didn't like. Jack Welch, the CEO of GE when it bought RCA, even admitted that he
bought them to be able to control the content of NBC news!

They may also be subject to corporate blackmail. The NSA listens to EVERYTHING these days, and that surely
includes the CEOs of our largest corporations. Even the most honest businessman has plenty to hide from his competitors.

6. Our media is a purveyor of corporate propaganda.
The GOP is the implementer of the corporate agenda.
