Did Turner Marketing Crew Consider Possible Terror Freak Out As Reaction?
When the marketing people who came up with this idiotic campaign, do you think someone said "but people might think it's a bomb" and everyone at the meeting said "REALLY, that's GREAT... that will just help us get MORE EXPORSURE!"?

Hell, what are the odds a Turner marketing person called the Boston police alerting them to the pieces of garbage.

But a corporate ad team would never go that far...

3. They probably didn't realize how stupid and paranoid people would be
Good grief, no other city got so spooked.
The devices have been in place for two to three weeks in 10 cities: Boston; New York; Los Angeles; Chicago; Atlanta; Seattle; Portland, Ore.; Austin, Texas; San Francisco; and Philadelphia.

4. It crosses the line from insensitive to comatose
Especially in New York and Boston, cities that played a direct role in 9/11. Absolutely NOBODY on the marketing team thought that it MIGHT be a bad idea to leave electronic-looking devices in suspicious places? And suppose someone had taken one of them AND PUT a real bomb in them?

5. If they did then they will face charges
so they better not admit this was truly an intent.
Intent to scare is p1art of the "hoax charges".
As it is I think Turner will settle up and pay and that will be the end of it.

BTW anyone see the artist's wbesite with the locations photo'd?
It's down right now but here is the link: http://www.zebbler.com/friends/ATHF/mission1/mission1.html

12. Sorry, must clarify: They would be GUILTY of those
charges if there was intent to scare.

7. no ,why would they?
some people in this country do not understand they must live in fear...funny all the other cities for over two or more weeks did`t freak out over a lite bright...if it`s on the east coast it`s the news of the day if it`s somewhere else in the country it`s a 1-2 minute story

8. I think too much blame is being laid on these guys.
The devices were in place for 2 or 3 weeks and are in place in other cities and with the exception of the freak out in Boston they were hardly noticed. The reaction to these signs was way over the top. Are we going to shut down a city every time a piece of trash falls off a truck? For crying out loud people need to get a grip on their fear.

13. So 2-3 weeks & Turner got NO BIG REACTION. All the more reason to wonder if one of them
purposely got the ball rolling....

maybe not.

9. Those signs were around for a couple of WEEKS, and they were in cities
all over the country. Has anyone considered that maybe, just maybe, the PLANNED, DESIRED brouhaha didn't arise, so someone in marketing took it upon themselves to place several phone calls purporting to be from concerned citizens, just to get the ball rolling???

I think they did this JUST TO GET IN THE NEWS. The panic was intended as an essential part of the marketing plan.

14. I think they did and that they took the risk (at very least) of being considered a terrorist attack
The worst case scenario is that they intended for a scare like this to happen to advertise their cartoons. They did this 9 cities; at some point, some city was going to freak out.
