Poll question: Should Bush have the power to govern by decree?
Should this line be added to our constitution?

The President shall have the right to make laws by decree for the purpose of:
"Transformation of the state, where laws are to be passed that make the state more efficient, honest, participatory, rational, and transparent."

5. Oh yes - just what we need! A God-appointed benevolent dictator
with the wisdom and goodness of George W. Bush.

OK - prepare yourself.

Some people actually think like that. Millions of fascist wannabes in this country. :scared:

I scanned the thread an noticed that no one had put 2 & 2 together, so I felt the need to issue a blatantly obvious reply LOL

Should Bush have the power to walk into your house and kill everyone for no reason?

Makes about as much sense.

14. This is a rhetorical question, right?
How about doing away with the office of the president. That's a much better idea.

16. He's already the Commander in Chief.
He already pretty much controls the military by decree.

That's worse than the powers granted to Chavez, IMO.

18. Just don't tell Hugo that I voted "NO." No wait, go ahead.
It is OK for guys whom I support to rule by decree, but I despise the practice when it is perpetrated by someone I loathe.
