Found this kick ass wood called blood wood OMG it is gorgeous deep red naturally.
A FLOOR made of it(drool drool)

On the way home from the doc I Got a small board of it. Have it all mapped out in pencil what It's gonna become.. a beautiful set of runes, a low relief carving of sekhmets face,a pentagram, and an ankh(pendant pieces).I got my scroll saw, but dammit my chest surgery isn't healed enough to be around all that dust yet and I am itching to carve it.My flex shaft is calling me...I would just looove to make a carved sekhmet themed ceremonial staff out of some of this wood and stick a big ol Zincite on top wired in with brass and red copper wire...It just kicks ass
Here is what Zincite looks like ,it's expensive now I got some nice crystals at the gem shows when it was cheap. It's worth alot more now than what I paid for it..than.It was made from Zinc smelting plants in Poland there was only so much of it found in the smokestacks. It is a natural material but man made process made it crystallize like this.

1. I didn't know you had surgery
I sure hope you're feeling better soon and can tackle the new woodworking project.

The wood looks beautiful. A nice choice. So, the wood sort of decided the projects?!

2. yeah
Surgery is healing up fine. I had a male chest reconstruction I am transgender, female to male.I feel until I have healed up more,it just might not be wise to get dust anywhere near stitches.Wood dust tends to get in every nook and cranny where it can get,I have worn a shop apron and a smock like thing to keep it off me,and I got something to collect dust I wear a mask, but still if I use some of my tools the wood dust finds a way under whatever protective garb I wear anmd I have to shower it off .

3. Now I remember!
You were so happy when you were preparing. I'm glad the surgery went well. And yes, dust can float everywhere. In the next couple of months, we're having a large storage closet turned into a bathroom. The floors are concrete. They'll be breaking into it and the dust will be in the farthest reaches of the house even though they'll seal off the room with plastic. No getting away from it. I'll be cleaning the dust out of my kitchen cabinets before it's over!

You take care. Meantime, I know you have plenty of interests to keep you involved as you mend. Hope we see you posting more in crafts.
