Vanity for a 10-year old girl
Redid this vanity for a friend's granddaughter's b-day present. It WAS an all over flat cotton candy pink. I didn't take pics of the before, but here is the after. I also changed the stool fabric...it was an all pink print before.

You can see the cotton candy pink here on the inside of the stool. Didn't paint in there as it would get scratched up from the storage cushion being removed and replaced all the time.

The vanity

Added gold trim to the top

Added rhinestone bling, the little girl's initials to the mirror, and gold trim around it

4. All four kids were just recently adopted
Long story, but all four are brother and sisters, and after four years of in, out, on and off again fostering by a wonderful couple who already have grown children, parental rights (my friend's daughter) were revoked, and all four of these kids get to be together in one VERY big family. It's a wonderful story, especially now that there will never be any more abuse, neglect and instability in their young lives.

10. I put a few small dollaps at a time on the furniture
then use a slightly damp cloth to spread it always in the same direction, then quickly follow with a dry cloth doing the same motion to thin it out where needed. I use old socks for the cloth wipe :)

So, yes, it was purple as the overwash on the base blue.

12. And indeed she did!
She's already on her way to being a teenage diva/fashion model...she was thrilled with the gift.
